Ophthalmology

Cataract

Dr. Jusko routinely performs no-stitch cataract surgery with state-of-the art aspheric implants. If you are a candidate, he also performs toric IOL implantation, Crystalens implants, and Restor implants. These are called Deluxe implants. If you are interested in reducing or eliminating your glasses dependence following cataract surgery, he can discuss these options with you.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a serious eye disease which requires close and extended follow up, but can often be treated with eyedrops and/or laser. We have the latest diagnostic equipment to watch for disease progression and help assure that your eyes stay healthy. Dr. Jusko performs glaucoma laser procedures and also incisional surgery for glaucoma, if required.

Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration is one of the most common (and potentially very serious) eye conditions affecting seniors today. Prompt diagnosis and treatment can be essential in preserving vision. Distinguishing between Dry and Wet macular degeneration is also very important. Certain vitamin supplements have been shown to be helpful in some cases. Medication shots into the eye have also been used very successfully in a certain subset of patients. Dr. Jusko works closely with local retina specialists to coordinate the best care for his patients with macular degeneration.

Laser Surgery

Laser surgery for multiple eye conditions, including diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma, is available here at Eyesight and Surgery Associates.

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery, such as chalazion excision and removal of benign and malignant skin tumors can often be performed in the office, with pathology services conveniently located at Mercy hospital.

Removal of excess eyelid skin, called Blepharoplasty, is also a service provided by Dr. Jusko. This procedure, if accompanied by functional vision loss, is often covered by insurance plans.
